FORUM - SFA’s Center for Applied Research and Rural Innovation (CARRI) hosted a Forum on Rural Economic Development Tuesday, July 2nd, focusing on regionalism and how counties can work together to accomplish goals and share resources. The forum was hosted with combined counties/towns to network and foster relationships. San Augustine was well represented with guests from the county, city, AgriLife office, Main Street board, school district. DETCOG CELEBRATES 58 YEARS - DETCOG President and San Augustine County Judge Jeff Boyd presents the 2023 Ralph Steen East Texan of the Year Award to Horace McQueen as Shelby County Judge Allison Harbison looks on during the DETCOG Annual Meeting held on June 22, 2023. The presentation of the Steen award will be a highlight of the 2024 DETCOG Annual Membership and Awards Luncheon to be held June 27, 2024, at the Pitser Garrison Convention Center in Lufkin.
