LYNDON BURL YATES

Mr. Lyndon Burl Yates, age 78, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023, at Hospice in the Pines in Lufkin, Texas.

Lyndon was born November 14, 1944, in Douglass, Texas, to parents Vera Belle (Spradley) and Cecil Allen Yates. Mr. Yates had lived in many areas of the country; however, San Augustine County had been his home for the past several years. He retired from the pipeline industry.

His survivors include a daughter, Necy Spittler and husband Mike of Anacoco, Louisiana; sons, Charles McLemore of Lufkin, Texas, and Kenneth Parker of San Augustine County, Texas; sisters, Kay Bridwell of Lexington, Kentucky, and LaMerle Brown of Douglass, Texas; a brother, Bruce Yates of Buffalo, Texas; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Vera Belle Yates; wives, June Yates and Joyce Yates; children, Quita Smith, Eddie Joe Parker, and Elaine Parker; granddaughter, Ashley McLemore; and a sister, Elouise Fore.
