BARBARA SLATER WATSON

Barbara Slater Watson met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 12, 2023. She was a dearly loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

During her 86 years of life on this earth she sought to serve her Lord faithfully by serving her family and others. Spiritual conversations with her family were the highlight of her life. She was willing to stay up into the wee hours of the morning praying and conversating over God's word.

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband Judge Charles Watson and her parents, J.C. and Leona Slater. She was cared for by her children: Wyatt Watson, Deena Nutt, and Damon Watson and their spouses. Her legacy carries on with 8 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Gravelhill Antioch Baptist Church, located at 4984 Gravelhill Rd., Hemphill, with Charles Watson officiating.
