KATY LUE CHAMBERS

Funeral services for Mrs. Katy Lue Chambers, 92, were held Monday, October 23, 2023, at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Pastor Frank Holrath officiating. Committal service and interment followed at Liberty Hill Memorial Garden. She passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023, at her residence.

She was born June 25, 1931, in San Augustine County, Texas, to parents Wylie Thornton and Maggie (Wells) Thornton and had been a lifelong resident of the area. She was a homemaker and dedicated member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church.

Her survivors include her children, Donna Jones and Rusty Jones of Fred, Texas, Rhonda Thompson and Michael Riggins of Shelby County, Texas, and Lane Chambers and wife Betty of Shelby County, Texas; grandchildren, Crystal Allen and husband Chad, Clint Chambers and wife Brandy, Heath Jones and Rebecca Wood, Brad Jones, Nicole Thompson and Jimmie Carter, and Jessica Steptoe and husband Aaron; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
