Funeral services for Johnny Lee Burrell, 72, of San Augustine will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Bishop Cedric Grace, officiating the service. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27th at Garner & Son Mortuary Chapel from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Mr. Burrell passed away on October 23, 2023 at Longview Regional Hospital in Longview, TX. He is survived by his wife, Leatrice Edwards Burrell of San Augustine; daughter, Kyra Blanton and husband, Cleo, of Nacogdoches; son, Anthony Burrell and wife, Delicia, of San Augustine; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers, J.R. Burrell; Hughie Burrell and wife, Faye; Murry Burrell and wife, Gloria; Robert “Chip” Burrell and wife, Cheryl; Judge Burrell and wife, Ruby; Milton Burrell and wife, Willie Mae; Jerry Burrell and wife, Linda; Terry Burrell and wife, Beverly; Timmy Burrell and wife, Sherry; sister, Margaret Jo Wilson and husband, Franklin; Sister-in-law, Lynn Burrell, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Percy Garner & Son Mortuary will be in charge of the arrangements.
