Funeral services Francis Dwain Fuller, aged 79, of Hemphill were held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, Texas, with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating. He passed away on June 23, 2025, in Hemphill, Texas. Born on November 19, 1945, in Rosevine, Texas, to James Herman Fuller and Ruth Mae McCroskey Fuller, Dwain spent his formative years in Rosevine before moving to Pasadena, Texas, where he lived for 40 years.
Dwain was deeply rooted in his community and faith as a long-standing member of the Rosevine Church of God. His storytelling prowess made him a cherished figure locally, especially within the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo Association where he served on the Board of Directors. Dwain’s passion for horseback riding was well-known and brought joy to many of his days.
Professionally, Dwain dedicated many years to truck driving before his retirement, a career that took him across various states and introduced him to many lifelong friends.
Dwain is survived by his daughters, Patricia Lair and her husband, Brian, of Lufkin, and Beverly Shaff and her husband, Bob, of Fairport, NY; step-sons, Mike Cassola and his wife, Teri, of Alvin, and Mark Cassola and his wife, Heidi, of Dickinson; stepdaughter, Rose Marie Harris and her husband, Mark, of Pasadena; and his special friend, Martha Pena. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Logan, Lauren, John, Amy, Paul, Loresa, Stephanie, and Anthony; and eight great-grandchildren. 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Oquilla Fuller; parents, James and Ruth Fuller; step-daughter, Robin Cassola; and was the last surviving sibling of nine children.
Following the service burial took place at Rosevine Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jimmy Fuller, Tony Fuller, Marty Griffin, Andy Fuller, Doug Fuller, and Logan Lair, with Steve Fuller serving as an honorary pallbearer.
Starr Funeral Home of Hemphill, Texas, oversaw the arrangements. Dwain’s life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, as a man of faith, a loving family member, and an engaging storyteller.
