BOBBY HUTTO
February 19, 2025
Mr. Bobby Milton Hutto, age 73, of the Six Mile community of Sabine County, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025, at his residence.
Bobby was born February 12, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas; to parents Betty Lee and Bobby Milton Hutto Sr. He grew up in Lubbock and graduated from high school there. Bobby worked as a corrections officer for Texas Department of Criminal Justice, having served several years at various TDC units in the state prior to his retirement. Bobby had enjoyed retirement years, living in the Six Mile area on Toledo Bend.
He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and always sharing something to give others a laugh or brighten their day. Bobby was awesome at uplifting others with his humor or with words of encouragement and the gospel. During his retirement years at Toledo Bend, he became a dedicated member of Yellowpine Baptist Church, serving faithfully as his health permitted. And, of course, he was known as a great fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
His survivors include his wife, Judy Renae Hutto of Six Mile, Texas; his daughters, Kimberly Jones of LeRoy, New York, and Sara Hutto of San Antonio, Texas; son, Shannon Dowdell of West Virginia; a sister, Sharon Marr of Victoria, Texas; and a brother, Johnny Mullins of Gun Barrel City, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Milton Hutto Sr.; and his mother, Betty Lee Mullins.
A Celebration of Life is being planned at Yellowpine Baptist Church, located at the corner of Hwy. 87 and FM 2343 in Sabine County, at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorial gifts may be made to the Yellowpine Baptist Church Building Fund (c/o Ollie Faye Sparks, P.O. Box 1110, Hemphill, TX 75948).
