Sabine Valley District Association 2024 Praise and Worship Services

Sabine Valley Association will be hosting a Praise and Worship Service Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.

The theme for this service is “Thanking God for the Past, Praising Him for the Present, Trusting Him for the Future, Secured for Eternity.”

This is the time of year that we look back and express our gratitude to God all that He has done, while looking forward to 2025 with a faith filled expectation of what he is going to do.

We invite everyone to come out and join us for this “Hour of Power, Praise and Worship.”

The message will be by Sabine Valley Moderator, Rev. Dr. Amos L. Horton, Sr., Pastor of the Reed Chapel Baptist Church.

All are welcome to attend. Sabine Valley District Association looks forward to seeing your there.

SAHS TEAM WINS THIRD IN AG BUILD-OFF COMPETITION - The SAHS team of (L-R) Jarrenn Jenkins, Autumn McCallumn, Diego Cobarrubius and Cer’Mydrick Kelly won 3rd place in an Ag Mechanics Build-Off competition that was held here last Thursday. SAHS Ag teacher Jessee Harrison (R) said there were 20 teams from all over Texas that participated in the competition.

SWORN IN - In the City of San Augustine Election, there was 1 seat which was contested, SA City Council Position 2. Incumbent Pamela Nickelberry Teel won re-election with Mayor Leroy Hughes (not pictured), Council members Marcus Hafford, Juan Diaz, Jr., Dan Fussell and Herman Wilson running unopposed, therefore, being elected to another 2 year term in office. San Augustine City Council November 22nd

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS - The San Augustine Garden Club has been working hard decorating the downtown square for the Christmas season. They would like to welcome all to the Courthouse Lighting Ceremony Friday, November 22nd. Christmas Lights on the Square will be turned on at 5:30pm, followed by a dedication, holiday music, cookies, and hot chocolate.
