LISA RUSSELL
September 11, 2024
Mrs. Lisa Russell of San Augustine, Texas passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands, Texas, at the age of 59 years, 2 months, 14 days. Lisa was born June 25, 1965, in Houston, Texas, to parents Linda (Davis) and Weldon Chamberlain.
At a very early age, Lisa loved fishing with her Uncle Johnny. Her love for fishing never stopped and she enjoyed fishing trips with the love of her life, Dave. Some of her favorite times were spent with her favorite person, Grams (Mama Garden). She loved helping her in the garden.
Lisa was a business owner in her early years and took pride in her business, Lisa’s Frames. Above all she was most proud of being a wife, Mama, and a Nana. She looked forward to all of the grandkids' events. It was what she lived for. She was the kindest mother to her children, always there to lend an ear, give advice, and help them navigate life’s hard lessons.
She had the most precious, giving, and loving soul. She was always so generous and made sure she had plenty of snacks for them during all of the games and loved sending home goodies for them. Lisa looked forward to the holidays with her family. She always went above and beyond and prepped for days to make sure the meals were perfect. Lisa enjoyed going to the beach, going to Joe’s Crab Shack to eat, visiting with her kids and grandkids, and she loved her fur babies, Deuce and Trey. Her life will live on through her children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, David Russell of San Augustine, Texas; daughters, Kristy Horton and husband Josh of Center, Texas, Jennifer Gillespie and husband Josh of Shelbyville, Texas, and Jessica Brown and husband T. J. of Shelbyville, Texas; son, Colton Tyre of Shelbville, Texas; a sister, Stephanie Chamberlain of West Monroe, Louisiana; father-in-law, Mike Malone of Prairieville, Louisiana; mother-in-law, Madelyn Russell of Houston; and her grandchildren, Taylor Horton, Logan Horton, Jaylee Gillespie, Jase Gillespie, Jentry Gillespie, Levi Ross, Harper Ross, Mila Brown, Lance Brown, Lillie Brown, and Annie Sue Russell-Rodriguez.
