JIMMY RAY HUTCHINSON

Jimmy Ray Hutchinson, 71, of Hemphill, passed away on September 6, 2024. Born on May 29, 1953, in Pineland, Texas, to Lawrence Raymond Hutchinson and Margaret Eloise Dobbs Hutchinson, Jimmy spent his youth in the area and graduated from Hemphill High School.

Jimmy dedicated many years to the logging industry, a career that echoed his deep connection to the natural landscapes of East Texas. Beyond his professional life, he was an avid fisherman and poker player, passions that brought him considerable joy and relaxation.

Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Durham and her husband, Chris, of Hemphill; his brother, Ronnie Hutchinson and his wife, Amanda, of Lufkin; and his sisters, Nelda June Huffman and her husband, Jimmy, and Susan Davis and her husband, Marvin, all of Hemphill. He also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren, including Kalea Boren and Ryan Bowen.
