Funeral services for Bonnie Lynn Rach, of Hemphill will be held at 2:00 p.m. with visitation prior to services at 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alberto Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookeland Cemetery. She was born on June 21, 1921, in Orange, Texas to Joseph Guidry and Rosa Hollier Guidry, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024, at the age of 103 at Legacies Nursing and Rehab in Hemphill. She was a longtime resident of Hemphill, having resided here since 2008. Bonnie, a spirited and witty soul, touched the lives of many with her sassy one-liners and bubbly personality. She made an impact on everyone she met.

Bonnie's early education was completed at Stark High School in Orange. She devoted much of her life to being a loving wife, mother, and homemaker, cherishing the time spent with her family. She was a faithful member of the Rayburn Methodist Church. Over the years she had been a member of the Bengal Guards Drum Corp. Her musical talents extended to being a member of a ukulele group and playing the dulcimer. She was also a proud veteran of the Red Cross during World War II.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her sons, Dan C. Rach, Jr. and his wife, Patricia Kyte Rach, of Buna, and Tom Rach and his wife, Edna, of Hemphill. Bonnie was a proud grandmother to Russell, Steven, Jason, Amy, Michael, Caleb, Laura, Mattie, Bryan, Betsy, Sharon, and Charles, and a great-grandmother to Garon Blake, Lynnlee, Thomas, Autumn, Cherith, Natalie, Jack, Bonnie, Michael, Anora, Riley, Sophia, Addie, Harley, Melissa, Becklynn, Erin, Addie, Harlee, Becklend and Relissa
