PATRICIA “PATSY” DIANE KILCREASE

Funeral services for Patricia "Patsy" Diane Kilcrease, age 74, of Pineland, Texas, were be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Pineland Baptist Church Life Center, with Bro. Bobby Powell officiating. Burial followed at Pineland Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Jeff Kilgore, Ken Kilcrease Jr., Madison Kilcrease, Adam Smith, Corey Durbin, Reese Hardy, Ben Kilcrease and Brett Smith serving as pallbearers She passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 at her residence.

Patsy was born on July 2, 1949, in Kirbyville, Texas, to Walter Reese Smith and Maywood West Smith. She was an active member of her community, serving on the Pineland City Council, the Sabine County Youth Foundation, and the Pineland Service Club.

Patsy was a longtime familiar face at West Sabine ISD, where she worked in administration for over 40 years, leaving a lasting impact on both children and adults. Whether she answered when you called or you saw her when you walked in the doors, Patsy was always there, smiling and willing to help you.

She is survived by her sons, Brad Kilcrease and wife, Kym, of Jasper and Wes Kilcrease and wife, Dina, of College Station; her brother, Gary Smith and wife, Carol, of Hemphill; her sister, Jennifer Hardy and husband, Scott, of Pineland; brother-in-law, Jerald Kilcrease and wife, Susan, of Jasper; sister-in-law, Cathy Ladner and husband, Bruce, of Hemphill; her grandchildren, Madison, Stella, Lauryn, Abby, Brady, Ben, Jackie, Jaxsyn, and Hattye; great-grandchildren, Rownen, Hayzel, and Kayden; and many, many more family and friends.

Patsy was a member of Pineland First Baptist Church and enjoyed crafting and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
