JUNE CHAMBER LUNCHEON - The San Augustine County Chamber of Commerce luncheon was held Tuesday, June 18th with a presentation from the Business of the Month Evergreen Technology Solutions, LLC. The San Augustine AgriLife Agents presented the program for the luncheon. HOUSTON CURATOR VISITS THE EZEKIEL CULLEN HOUSE - Visited by Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH) Michelle Verret and Assistant Alexandra Drake. The pair were able to view cabinets made by San Augustine local cabinetmakers, Joseph Palmer and Joseph Baker, circa 1840s. The furniture was donated by members of the Duke family, descendants of Amaziah Eugene Baker, the brother-in-law of Joseph Palmer and father of Joseph Baker. Mrs. Lois Lacy (l) and Betty Oglesbee (c,l) gave the pair a personal tour.
